Landscape Architect

Nick Russell

BA (Hons)

Nick joined Tir Collective two years ago after completing a degree in Landscape Architecture at the University of Gloucestershire. Before that, he spent eight years training and working as a gardener across England and Wales, gaining hands-on horticultural experience through formal courses, traineeships at historic and botanic gardens, working on plant nurseries, and designing and building two show gardens. This practical foundation continues to shape his approach to landscape architecture, bringing a deep understanding of plants and place to his design work.

While at Tir Collective he has gained experience working on residential, commercial, and private landscape design projects, as well as landscape assessment work. He hopes to begin soon on the pathway to chartership and has recently taken on the role of Communications Officer for the Landscape Institute Wales Branch.

In his spare time, he enjoys walking and botanising in the Welsh countryside, as well as writing, recording, and performing music with his friends.
