On Monday 29th July, Nick and Josh joined a volunteering morning in Bute Park, organised by the team at Clockwise Cardiff. The session focused on bramble clearing around three semi-mature walnut trees, helping to maintain and protect the park’s diverse tree stock.
It was a great chance to get stuck into some practical conservation work and connect with others doing the same. Along the way, they uncovered two wasp nests—one still very much occupied! A small reminder of how alive and wild even our city green spaces can be.
Big thanks to the organisers and the Bute Park team for welcoming us. Always a pleasure to give something back to the spaces we value.
