Rhydycar is a nationally important mixed-use tourism development comprising one of the largest indoor snow centres in Europe and the longest indoor snow centre in the UK.  Other elements of the proposal include an indoor waterpark, indoor activity centre, outdoor activity areas, hotel accommodation, and forest lodge accommodation.  The site is located adjacent to the A470, Merthyr Tydfil on a former mining site, which has created some challenges.

Tir Collective have prepared the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA), landscape design, and green infrastructure strategy.  We have recently been updating the strategy to reflect claimed public rights of way and create active travel connections to the new Pentrebach Metro Station and Bike Park Wales.
