Cardiff Living
A new housing development at the former Eastern High School in Cardiff with 131 residential houses and an apartment block for over 55’s. The apartment block, Addison House, includes a communal garden for the future residents. Appointed from RIBA Stage 4 onwards by Cardiff Living, which is a development partnership between Cardiff Council and Wates Residential.
The scheme accords with Cardiff’s Green Infrastructure SPG. We worked with the appointed soil scientist and liaised with the Council’s Tree Officer.
The Addison House was designed with circular routes and a suitable surface finish, planting with a range of textures, seating and growing spaces, a pergola and gazebo.
